Caddy Infiltrator.... but I have got half a mk1 golf too....

Hey guys How are you all?

It's true…. I'm sneaking in with my caddy, and half a golf, and im in need of help… my much beloved caddy, after 2 months of work taking her from "scrap" to "all most pretty" she decided to throw a Con rod through her block at 50 on the A1 beware of people selling project golfs with "reconditioned engines" so i'm in for the second engine swap, this time the donor is a mk2 16v gti, so I'm swimming in info from your site and others….. my main question at the mo is… how come the mk2 16v manifold doesn't work for the conversion? does it foul against something? issues with downpipe length? is it possible to modify to fit? (not scared of the welder ) errr….. there will be more to come….. I've searched quite a bit on the forums for info, and keep getting washed around with info for other 16v conversions, getting a little twisted if anyone can point me to a few good posts for this specific conversion i'd love ya!
