Hi all,

A good friend who goes by the name dubpartz has introduced me to this wonderland of MK1 Golfs. Im currently restoring a black MK1 which will hopfully be finished soon. I will post some pics as soon as.

hi Philthy, im fairly new here but i must say the ppl here are sound as a pound. ive been getting advice for restoring my mk1 GLS and everyones been spot on, anyway

Thanks for the warm wecolme, here's some pics of the resto thus far. New sills, new rear arches, brand new wings to go on, a new bonnet, tailgate and sunroof panel. Not too far off finishing will hopefully be finished within the next month.  8)

Take the headlights out to spray the front panel though… come on, it's only a couple of screws each

I wish it was my workshop. :cry:  Im Not sure if it is a porsche colour but it is nice. :dontknow:  here's a few more to wet your appetites. :wink:
And black is definitely the best colour especially with chrome trim. 8)

This poor old blokes knees had packed up and he couldn't get up from that front wing.  

Philthy best colour going looking good, which body shop did you use as I 'm starting to look around for one to the job with doors and windows out.

Mark Howe body repair in middlesbrough. he knows what hes doing but you could be in for a long wait. my car has been in his workshop for a long time. Partly because iv been sourcing parts, and partly because he needs to pay the bills by doing body kits for corsa's, And im in no rush so i told him to take his time. If you wanted it doing within a certain time limit im sure he could accomodate no problem.
