Better late than never, new member.

Hi all,
I have been watching the forums on this club for a while now and have also been a silent member for some time  :D . So I thought I had better introduce myself before asking any more questions in the other forums   .

I have a 1983 Mk1 Campaign 1800cc in silver and its whats known as a "project" know what I mean   . Its rather tatty at the moment and even worse there is nothing under the bonnet! I have a standard donor engine sitting in my garage which I (try) to work on in the evenings.

I live near Heathrow and currently work in Theale near Reading. Most mornings I see the same black Mk1 Gti heading the other way down the M4, one day I shall catch him  :o !

I have an engine related post in the Big Block engines section if ya can help any.

Hi and welcome. Is this a long term project or do you have plans to finish her soon ?

Hi ans4r and pablo,
Many thanks for the welcome. Project wise I will be happy to just get her looking decent and back on the road, hopefully for the summer. So whatever it takes to get the engine in and running and any body work that needs doing. Not a total resto.

Pablo are you in the UK?

Cool, hope you manage to get her on the road.

Not at the moment. Moved to Holland with work last year, close to Rotterdam.

I did, I managed to buy a LHD GTI Cabby in Aberdeen which was going cheap. No clogs though
