Back to The Fold!

Hi Guys and Gals, have recently joined the site whilst looking for advice and information on restoring a 1983 MK1 GTI convertible back to original spec.  Looks like I will be able to find the answers to my (many!) questions here.  Bought the MK1 back in april, used it for the summer and have just recently taken it off of the road to start the work on it.
I have owned quite a few VW's and have always had a soft spot for the MK1 GTI and this convertible is my 1st!  I would love to own a campaign but I don't think the wife would allow it!  Well I can live in hope I suppose!

Look forward to chatting to you all when I start asking my numerous questions and will post some pics as soon as I have some time spare.

Welcome aboard. Quite a few cabriolet owners about with some hints and tips (Prowler on here has two!) so you should find what you're looking for!

Excellent news that you're restoring it too, we'll get our 'Cabriolet' register running soon!
