Your right - WHITE ROCKS!
And yours is well nice btw!
Mine was pretty neglected when I got it almost 3 years ago but solid, I'd love to warn everyone of the guy who sold it to me as he sells a lot of VW parts. He put a 'free' set of gti nine spokes in the rear footwells to hide the sunroof leak which costed ?300 to repair (or replace in this case), and never told me about it. Only found out a few weeks later with 3 inches of water in my footwells!
So stripped out interior to dry and scrubbed carpets (I recommend people try this before buying new ones as mine came out perfect!), and repainted floor while it was out just for the hell of it!. ops:
Remained stripped out for about 6 months while I was learning to drive and couldnt drive it.
Since then I've just been cleanin and tidying with a few places such as lower rear panel and sill DIY painted and i'm very proud of it now 8)
Gets pampered now and has a better place to sleep than me!
Heres how it looked when i got it and how it looks now 8)

White is one of the colours that really show off the lines of a car, not that the mk1 needs any help.
Also despite my first thoughts its easier to keep clean than my black one

Very true 8) I chose white cos it shows up the black grill & GTI trim etc 8)
