Another mk 1 after 13 years in the wilderness

I'm Matt, the extended family has owned several mk 1's in various guises, 2 of which I am proud to say have been mine. At 17 I grabbed my 1st, a silver blue mk1 driver1.3, so gutted now that I sold her!!!

Back in April after a long search I found a bargain 82 black cab gti, slowly and surely I have been working through the minor faults that came with her and she runs well and looks the part. Elsewhere got a mk4 1.8t for the daily, the woman's got a mk3 estate, and there's a project polo 6n on the drive ready and waiting.

Loads more to do on the mk1, but wanted to say how much help this forum is. Been a member of a few motoring forums and can honestly say that the sense of community and support here is immense, a credit to any collection of enthusiasts!!!

Future plans include a brake upgrade and an engine rebuild when it finally surrenders, maybe a 16v conversion.
