Have just bought a 1983 Golf gti and I am new to the site.  Please feel free to ban me from the site with the question I am about to ask - here goes -
How do you know if your model is a campaign? ( I am female so don't be too harsh)

As a general rule if your mk1 is a campaign its chassis no. will have EW in it.  However, there are exceptions and many an argument has been had.  Stick a couple of pics up and I'm sure some of the Campaign experts will tell you.

From what you have all said I have worked out it is a campaign based on the EW in the chassis.  It does have the features listed in the link.  I am based in Reading so would probably go to the meet at the Jekyl n Hyde - if nothing elese just to get some info.  I don't reckpon mine is at the showing stage however people have commented on the good nick that it is in.
