Aloha peeps!

Hi guys

Just a quick hello!  My name is Dil and I've finally managed to get my hands on a Mk1 after months and months and months of searching.  Hoping to have her on the road before summer next year (as she needs a fair bit of work) and looking forward to meeting some of you guys at the shows  8)

I'm completely new to the dub scene so will no doubt need loads of help from you experts, but I do have a 'bit' of modifying pedigree in the BMW/Audi scene  :wink:

My lil bro and I will get a journal up and running to show progress- I'm pretty sure he's registered on here and has already managed to get me a few parts!

Looking forward to (hopefully!) building a pretty impressive Mk1  

Welcome to the dubscene big brother! Finally you've been bitten by the VW bug and stopped messing around with those BMW's and Audi's  

So, like my brother said, hopefully we will be getting started on the MK1 project soon. We've already been sourcing parts for the build.

Haven't got the build thread started yet, but will do in due course as progress will probably be slow this side of Xmas..

Very good shell although she is yet to be fully stripped so I'm preparing myself for some surprises..

Needs a lot of work as can be seen as she's been sat in a barn for the last decade. Hoping to get ripping the interior out (the little there is!) this weekend, so should hopefully have some better pics then.

Cheers guys - yup can't wait to get started! Amazed how cheap and readily available stuff for these cars are! Coming from a background where literally a few sensors can easily cost well over £500, I'm almost looking forward to spending money lol
