83 driver

hello one proud owner of a gold 83 golf driver my pride and joy and a great big hole in my pocket lol! but thts the price you pay for a bit of style!
thought i'd put up a little pick of my baby so here you go.

i wasn't sure bout the colour when i seen the add but when i went to look at it i had to have it even tho the engine was knackered lol.

oh yeah its been running for a while i've had the car bout 18months and had the engine rebuilt about a year ago, it's surprisingly quick for a 1300 i've had it at about 110 gotta take the rack off for that tho lol!

Got one the same sat at home, "Champagne Gold" i believe they call the colour.

Has yours got a black GTi interior with it as well?  i have seen Drivers with a standard brown interior with this colour paint to.

it has a black leather interior i believe the seats are from a scirocco? i might be wrong like seen them on ebay as golf and scirocco seats so not sure there a bit hagged but i can't afford a retrim so i'm goin for a rat look interior lol.

Good to see another late driver on here!  Mine looks the same as yours apart from the colour (mines got P-Slots as well).  If you weren't already aware you're colour is "Sand Metallic"  Your interior should be "biege" houndstooth type tweed!

What are you're plans for it?

at the mo i'm just tryin to keep it goin and buyin bits for it here and there. but i think i'm gonna try and keep it pretty stock lookin but maybes pop a little suprise under the bonnet nothing set in stone yet like so open to suggestions for an engine swap want something a bit different than an 1.8t as there seems to be a lot of them out there these days.
