Hi all, Iv just joined the forum and I'm sure I'll be on here a lot. Iv had a good read through and  there is plenty of knowlegeable people on here. Iv already used this forum to talk me through some jobs I'm doing so thanks for that. Picked a 86 cabby in white that need some attention. About a year ago now so Iv got loads done but I have got running issues at the mo. Still a million bits to do so going to crack on with all that 1st. Iv also got a donor car that I'v taken loads of bits off so I'll be posting them on hear when Iv got what I want to see if any of its any use to anyone. Look forward to getting back into the vw scene. Not had one for a few years now. Iv had classic vw's before but never a golf so looking forward to zipping around with the wind in my……….. ears
I'll get some pics up later

Cheers for the help in advance Gaz

Thanks for the welcome. I love working on my little golf it keeps me from watching mind numbing rubbish on tv but I really wanna driving it now, it's a while off yet so I'll have to be patient.  I'll be tackling a new roof soon so hopefully there is a decent guide on here somewhere

Looks lovely that mate 👍🏼 I'm hoping to get mine out the garage this weekend to give it a clean down so I can take some pics, it's snug fit in my garage so can get any decent pics of it where it is. I'll be in there later tonight  getting the rest of the dash/instruments fitted back in then when the insides finished it's onto the engine. Iv got a fueling issue I think, Iv not really investigated properly yet but the filler neck is goosed so Iv got a new one to fit then I'll get the tank cleaned out and fresh fuel and hopefully that will be that

Did you get a filler neck for a cabriolet as they are different to tin top cars and for some reason a hell of a lot more expensive!

Hi mark, yes it's off a donor cabby Iv picked up. It's  had a recent replacment so I was going to use that. Thanks for the heads up though because I didn't know they were different.
