(Not quite) Golf GTI Virgin

Hello everyone
Just lost the use of a company car so bought myself a 1981 GTI as a daily driver  8O . I'll be honest: it's a bit of a shed but is great fun to drive and represents, I believe, what old Golfs are all about - reliability, fun and bugger the rust… I've described myself as a "not quite virgin" because years ago I had a 1979 version which was even worse than this one. Hopefully I won't need to troube the tecnophobes too much  8) , but I'll keep you posted. Best regards, Owain.

Welcome aboard!!!  You got to love the way they fly mate!!  You shouldn't get too stuck with it… at least you can fix it yourself rather than all these computer gizmo's etc on modern cars  8O

Hope you enjoy the site!!
