Your thoughts on SPRING FESTIVAL !!

Drove about 500 mile round trip for this one.First of this event i have attended and will be my last.Trade stands were deplorable ,there was'nt any!!!!Auto jumble not much better. Some fine cars there just not enough of them.15 quid admission, food well over priced .Will stick to inters and e38 from now on.By the time i paid for petrol, entrance think i would rather try the TREFFEN and save some money in the long run.

correct on alot of counts. i went with my son and friends, met a few friends and met a few forum faces. also ran the strip once or twice. all that made the day. o made the most of it and had a great day.

You have to remember that the 'spring' festival is only in it's third year.  I thought it was a good show and had a good day, if a little light on the traders.  There was a good quality and variety of cars, with the car park making a show of it's own.

As with any event at Santa Pod, the main focus of the day was the 1/4 strip, and they were going all day!  The show and shine had a capacity entry too.

Sorry you had a crap day Totenkopf.

i attended the 400 mile round trip with the VR6OC in my Highline, we had a massive turnout of over 22 cars! first time i have been to the pod and i thought it was a good day out, i dont care too much for trade stands anyway….how many times can you fit and refit "lexus style lights" and "universal" exhaust boxes? its all cheap crap anyway imo, Volksbits needs to move up the market and stop selling the same old chinese import toot….the only stalls worthy of a look were Plinth Miester…the Meguiars one and LMR chrome stuff..and i got a few bits for the sportline in the auto jumble.namely the no longer available rear badges for 50p each!!!!!…..as said the Pod is more for petrol heads and shiners   pardon the phrase…… i got there at 0830 and left at 5 ?15 was an ok fee for entrance…especially as i got to watch someone anhialate a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo with a Corrado!!! priceless oh and if anyone knows the guy who owns the "polizei" golf? tell him i want to buy it…that is superb

are you joking?

Inters was worse last year…ok a few less trade stands but missing a GS&F stand isn't exactly the end of the world….

Remember, ?15 is the std entry for the Pod at shows, and it has the pull of having a proper 1/4 mile (not the temp affair they had at inters).

Least the cars were well alid out (ie close to each other!) and they were relaxed about stands :)

I had a good time this year, weather was fantastic had a go on the strip and had my car on the club stand, what more could you ask for??

The only gripe with the show this year was the BBS centre caps being stolen from a mates Polo which was parked in the normal car park!!

For the ?15 you pay, they should have better secrurity, I remember this happening at another show, its not on!!
