Ultimate Dubs 9th March 2008
To All
Dates have just been released for next years indoor show.
SUNDAY 9th MARCH 2008
This is the first major show of the year.
404 Error | Ultimate Dubs
For those who have not been before this is a great event, well organised, with traders, auto jumble, club displays outside as well as indoors.
I know some of you may already be showing but i will be booking a club stand so everybody has a chance to display their ride.
Please reply if you would like to take part, or just general comment on the show. we will then look at numbers and book accordingly. Please note if we have an indoor stand the cars have to be there the night before.
Many thanks
Ant & Claire

I'm not keen on going indoors as the standard of cars indoors is really concours, outdoors would be more fitting and cheaper for those willing to get to the show before 9a.m on the day of the show. If you can get us in the normal club display area, which is up the steps outside the entrance to the exhibition hall, that gets plenty of pedestrian traffic and a very relaxed atmosphere.
I'm voting for an outdoor stand :y:

As Gammy said, this is a top end show with the majority of cars inside being of a high standard, although look a bit harder and you can find bad spots (on my car!!!).
I haven't checked yet but the last 2 years have had a 'Retro' display where the likes of Mk1's are more than welcome, standard or modified, it doesn't matter.
Either way, its a good weekend where you can park up, polish up, walk to the hotel that is about 200yds away and have a few beers in the evening. Hotel is usually about ?60 for a double room.
I'm going!!!

I'd be interested in participating in a club stand.
Missed UD this year due to being car-less and have never been before but saw pics and looks mighty impressive and looks to kick off the show season nicely.
But from what Gammy says, I vote outdoor stand :y:

Just to let you all know, you MUST be a member of the club (fully paid up) to be able to represent the club, The reason for this is that it gives members a chance to show and be a part of the club, as accessories are paid for by club members, banners etc..
You may have noticed i will be attending the show although i will stand down to allow others to show.
Thanks

I'll be up for coming along, but doubt I'll ahve a show worthy car.. Can we have a mk1 owners club parking area for normal every day cars as well?????

I`ll try, but if i remember correctly the car park is run by the building /carpark owner and they are interested in getting cars in to avoid congestion on the roads rather than cars being parked in groups !!

It's quite possible to arrange mk1 owners parking, all you have to do is be at the show just before 9am on the Sunday morning and you'll find the car park quite empty and no queuing to get in either  .
I'll upload a photo from Sundays meet of Justins mk1 for you to see Ant5…..
