I will be their, taking my mk2 jetta 16v around I recently got from turbotechnicsmk1  

Cant miss it, Atlas grey, rear bumper missing at the moment.  Might put it back on after I robbed the towbar off it and fitted it to the mk2 Golf. saves some weight tho, not that it needs it

OOOOhhh i can wait.. wonder if TSR boys will be there? im gona take my camcorder film all the phun.

I know I said that last time nick but A) it was raining and I love the car to much to put in the wall and B) I still havent got round to changing my steering rack which is a must do, its just getting the time to it...

My m8 alan and me are going up in this beastly corrado 1.8T and taking it round the track. My golf cabrio aint going to make it round the first corner so she is staying home sitting next to the fire. Perhaps next year when the suspension is done, and the brakes, and the bushes, wishbones, roll anti bar, bigger engine, maybe the year after that then..lol

me and bert will be there, can we have a go in the corrado? :wink:

I did, and it was great fun in the Jetta  8) First time out mind !   The weather was nice most of the day but I managed to get caught out by going out again late in the day. The heavens opened !

had a couple of "moments"  Went off on the second session twice  :roll:  The first i was too busy looking in the mirror while going round Old paddock bend and did a bit of grass cutting, no dramas their, But on the very next lap I went off in a big way at Tower. The back end overtook me going into the corner and before I knew it I was sliding sideways into the in field    Phew, again no harm done.

The reason I went sideways was not my driving technique as I bled the brakes just before the session and forgot to remove the tie rap from the compensator on the rear axle, hence the full effort to the rear when braking  8O   infact it was still in until I got home when I remembered what I had not done    

Apart from that a great day was had, Oh and some of the driving from others was shocking at times as you can imagine. saw 2 corrados in the afternoon going round together and one of them went off at Camp corner ! anyone from here !

well nick i was going but pulled a disc out in my back and was bed ridden. Im really miffed that i coulnt go. Its only today really iam out of the bed and stumbling around.
It sounds like a great day and missed lots of fun. Perhaps next time for me.

aye was a great day, which jetta was u in mate? the jettas were on fire! that lad with corrado did driveshaft, did u see the stripped out mk1 (blue and white) made my day that did

Mine was an Altas grey one with the head light out, E 844 *** on 14 in steelies    I went out at 9:15, 11:45 and 3:45. I was parked close to a very nice black mk2 16v on bodies. Outside merlin Motorsport.

What were you driving mate…

im chicken mate and cant drive for toffee, just spectating. seen the car you was in we were parked right near u (3 goor atlas grey g plate), right enjoyed it definately going next un.  have u been round track before? how long does it take you to pick it up?

This was only my second trackday. The first was on the 23rd July at Coombe again. This was the Vag day. I was driving my Mk1 then, enjoyed it so much I managed to get hold of the Jetta from Turbotechnicsmk1 who posts on here for a mere 100 pounds!  I have put some new suspension on it and thats it so far.  

The first time I went out, it was a bit scary, I didnt pass anyone all day if I remember!  Also didnt want to stuff the Mk1 either. But it is amazing how easy you learn the track session by session and your confidence grows.

The likes of the Vag days are the best to go to because the standard of driving is sooo much better, not like some of the muppets last weekend. Lost count the amout of times someone tried to overtake me on bends and in chicanes etc  

Coombe is also only 8 miles away for me !  Nice circuit I think.

100 quid! you dropped on there mate! we were near tsr golf near shop thing, whos was the jetta greeny/grey on throttle bodies went like stink. i got offered keys to go round but darent. gonna have a go next time tho 200 miles home so best not bump nowt :? did u see the starlet turbo? that took piss…… whens next one?

You should have gone round paul    I have looked at all 293 pics and there is none of my car  8O  Some nice pics tho. Not sure when the next action day is, thinks its in April next year. There is always trackdays to go to. have a look here for some too,

I hope to go to the TSR trackday at Mallory Park in November, thats a good one to go to. Cheap at 95 quid all day !
