Santa Pod

Hi all, jus came back from santa pod which i thought was pretty good compared to the last time i went. plenty more trade stalls and autojumbles. i managed to pick up a set of wolfsburg number plates for 15 quid and a few other bits an pieces.

on the way up we passed a lovely mk1 whose wheel had come loose while driving which caused a touch of traffic (i suspect he was speeding on a space saver that i saw bent up).

there was more bad news for mk1's when on the 1/4 mile strip the dubweiser mk1 blew up the gearbox on a sprint (and he still manged to get a sub 12 time!!)

overall it was good show and cant wait for edition 38 to come round

anyway go pod in here??

Just to let you know, no I wasnt speeding on a space saver we had taken the alloy off and put the space saver on to try and get the car of the road as my alloys are 8x14" and the wheel was giving us problems as it was at 90* to what it should be.
I was only doing 50mph when the accident happend likely, was also lucky no one was coming the other way..

The problem was the lower ball joint had pulled itself apart. I have never seen this happen before and I wouldnt want it to happen again

If everything in life was as good as the MK1
