RetroRides Gathering - Prescott Hillclimb - Sun 21st August

Short notice I know, but this Sunday 21st August is the date for Retro Rides Annual show, this year it is being held at Prescott Hillclimb in Gloucestershire, as well as there being the main show, they will also be operating the Hillclimb, so should make for good entertainment watching all things Retro having a shot at the circuit    

Had a word with the organisers and they maybe able to accomodate a clubstand, but need to know if much interest as soon as possible, failing that, I'll be trundling down to the show anyhow and get some photos  

Any takers?

Just had it confirmed, we have a 10 car stand   :punk:  :punk:  

  If there is more than 10, then the extra will be in with the Retro's……..which in itself is pretty cool  8)

I've been going to Retro Rides show for the last few years and always enjoy the fantastic variety or cars, whether they be standard or modified to the hilt, and with the hill climb also being used, it should be very entertaining show….last years show at Haynes Motor Museum was good fun with the drift tack, had a Mk2 Escort on its roof  8O  8O

What's the plan here then?

Do we have to be in by a set time, it all seemed like a very laid back show last year.

Yep! Pay on the gate and say your on the Mk1 Golf Owners Stand  :wink:

Every year this show is laid back, I was there early doors last year and pretty sure there was people still arriving at 10.00am, however they did say they are rammed to the rafters this year, so try to be there somewhere around 9 - 10 am,  I guess :mrgreen:

I'll be meeting a few members at McDonalds in Oldbury @ 8.00am in the morning and travelling down together, should be at Prescott around 9.00am ish……….. I'll see you inside  8)

Anyone having a last minute change of mind, come along, just tell them your on the mk1 Golf Club Stand  :cowboy:

Absolutely fantastic day in every possible way. Cheers gammy for sorting the stand and thanks for the warm welcome from the other members who's names I'll never remember.
My favourite show last year and this year was ten times better.
Roll on next year, can't wait!

Didn't get properly acquainted but was an awesome day in every way, cool cars, people and weather. Show on same date and place next year. Hope we can get more folks along! Got a pic thread going in the show pics forum  :mrgreen:

I agree in what you say, last year was good, this year it is fantastic  8)  8)

Top work by the Retro Rides guys in running it so smoothly, had to laugh when they announced  on the PA about someone had lost their tobacco tin, subtedly saying whoever finds it will know why the owner wants it returned  :lmao:  :lmao:

Top marks in Retro Rides in securing this venue for 2012 and also announcing the dates for it, will get a proper stand sorted for next year  :punk:  :punk:
