Possible stand for the mk1 owners club guys...around march?

This is hopefully going to be a relaxed glorified meet…

Where there is no split between show cars and peoples everyday motors.

Basically anyone and everyone will be welcome,and will hopfully enjoy mixing with and chatting to people from all walks of the scene.Parking will not be split into sections (unless on a stand) Show cars and non show cars will all park and integrate with each other.

Clubs and forums will be welcome to have a stand,where they can show their members motors.

We had a bit of a local meet today to gauge possible numbers from the volksdevil forum alone,to say we didn't advertise it we got a superb turnout and a few couldn't make it!

Its our 'semi random' co-ordination of shows next year. Hopefully one of the moderators will be able to post a "calendar" post and make it a sticky, with dates of hte shows on it, then edit it to add those in which are to be confirmed?

Hopefully the volksdevil north west meet can be added to that list,id love to have the mk1 owners club there!

No fee's for having forum/club stands as yet.We hope it can stay that way too.

There is no real big players organising this,its just anyone and everyone helping/coming up with idea's/and getting involved where they can 8)

Its a case of generating interest at the moment…so you think the mk1 owners club would like a stand there? no charge for it just the entrance fee,and i suppose there is no limitation on the size of the stand as we have 80 acres to play with 8O  

It would just be up to you guys basically,to sort cut off dates for people wanting to be on the stand etc…

A new and different V.A.G show for 2007.
A 'gathering' in what will be a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic location, where show cars and daily drivers will all be parked together. Every single car and person that visits…WILL BE 'the gathering' And unlike the norm…Trade stands/Club stands/forum stands and Autojumble will all be FREE. Only the small entrance fee to pay, why have a seperation of what is basically a gathering of enthusiasts?

Any input is appreciated, its your show after all…Neil @ Volksdevil.

Well things have been moving on and now the date is definate, Sunday the 22nd of April 2007. This is going to be the first of hopefully many shows and YOUR participation is greatly welcomed. Its not being organised by anyone in particular so Everyones opinion and advice is greatly welcomed. I imagine its going to be mainly the NW guys interested in this one, but of course Lancashire is not-too-bad a journey for a lot of Mk1OC people.

oh aye, can u say where u heard about the show when u come over , just to gauge responses from forums, cheers guys.  

PS We tried loads of different places and this one came up trumps because of its easy location and brilliant surroundings and amenities.
Wish it could have been more central , but lets hope loads make the journey. Thanks for the responses people.
