New Show for 18-20th May 2012 in Kent
Introducing the APEX FESTIVAL, an all new weekender for the VW and VAG scene, this is a unique festival of Show n' Go Go Go!
This is not a static show! The Lydden Hill Race Circuit will be the focal point for the events and entertainment over the weekend, and YOU can be part of the on track spectacle!
You can participate in the FREE on-track parades - Individuals, Clubs and Show n' Shine entrants will be invited to drive around the circuit, with some great photo opportunities, or the more spirited owners can enter one of the many TrackDay Sessions over the weekend - from just £30 per 20min session!
Adding to the massive visual and aural experience will be full championship and trophy races from the Beetle Challenge, Single Seater Formula Vee's, and assorted VAG classes! Wheel-to-wheel dogfights and arch rubbing antics, which will have the grandstand spectators on the edge of their seats! The paddocks will be completely open to the public so you can get up close and personal with the race cars!
Alongside all the track action, there will be a mobile rolling road running a Dyno Shoot-Out competition over the weekend, with prizes for numerous classes. In addition, some of the biggest 'movers and shakers' in the resto/retro/race/modified VW and VAG arenas will be trading and exhibiting show cars both on and off the track.
EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS:
You may well have seen the infamous FB1 Race-Taxi on YouTube, a highly modified classic split screen VW camper, running a bi-turbo Porsche engine and GT3 gearbox. The Apex Festival is bringing the FB1 Race-Taxi to the UK for the very first time, offering passenger rides for spectators over the weekend too!
Clubs are invited to get in touch as they will have some of the best camping spots over looking the circuit itself! You can exhibit your cars and still see of all the action! There will be limited on site camping, so pre-booking is highly recommended.
The Apex Festival is family friendly, with many activities for our younger visitors, including a KidsZone and Jnr Disco. There is also a quiet camping area for families and those wanting a more peaceful nights shut eye.
For the adults, there will be a spectacular Open Air Party 'til late on Saturday evening with live bands (tbc) and DJs, with the night being finished off in style headlined with a band set to break in 2012 with their unique blend of punk, dub-step, drum'n'bass and metal.
The Apex Festival is set to be an action packed weekender, with lots of fantastic opportunities for the visitors to be part of the spectacle both on and off the track
