- rendez-vous at Montrichard with a club of old car for a drink of freindship and taste some local specialities,
- lunch & visit chenonceau,
- route around val de loire and photos of all,

monday :
- racing day on a circuit.

GTI Golf Thirty Years Anniversary

Dear GTI friend,
It is with great pleasure that we are inviting you to the Thirty Year Anniversary celebration of the first GTI Golf commercialization. The celebration will take place on May 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2006, in the Loire Valley region of France.

After many intense months of preparations,the GGCC team cooked us a wonderful program, extremely varied, with the ambition to unite the greatest number of GTI Golf vehicles for the length of a week end that already promises to be exceptional. Not to be missed under any circumstances!

Here is the three days? complete program:

Saturday, May 20th: Concentration circuit

We have selected a half dozen of meeting points, geographically apart, in order to welcome you close to your region.

Group 1 West (Brittany and Normandy)
Group 2 North and Belgium
Group 3 North East (Reims)
Group 4 Isle of France (Paris)
Group 5 South and West (Lyon)

- You will be communicated a point of meeting after your reservation. On Saturday morning you will meet up with other GTI Golf owners and form one of the five columns that will converge to our meeting point in the Loire Valley.

- We ask you to bring a lunch/sandwich so that at twelve noon, everybody can participate in a pleasant picnic.

- 2 pm- 4 pm: You will arrive at the village called Blere (12kms south of Amboise) where you will receive the weekend?s road book.

- You will then be directed to the meeting point by the Epeigne-les-Bois pond for a little bit of relaxation after this long drive!

- 6 pm: Departure for the village of Epeigne-les Bois, very close by.

- 6:30 pm- 9:30 pm: Meal (Hot meal buffet).

- Around 10:30pm: End of evening, departure for the lodgings (Hotel or Camping).

Sunday May 21st: Touristy ballad in the Loire Valley

- 8 am- 9:30 am: Communal breakfast at Epeigne-les- Bois.

- 9:30 am: Departure, in columns, direction of Montrichard.

- 10 am: Arrival at the town?s main square (reserved parking). Welcoming by the ?Club of the Old Ones? or otherwise ?The Club of the Jovial Collector? with most likely a toast in honor of friendship and tasting of local specialties.

- 12 pm: Depature for Chenonceau castle (reserved parking).

- 12pm-3pm: Lunch at the royal Stables and free visit of the castle and gardens.

- 3pm: Departure from Chenonceau for a touristy ballad including a photo stop.

- 4:30pm-6pm: A toast of friendship ( for those who have to leave and go back home?) at the Mail a Luzille Hotel.

- 7pm-10pm: Diner at the hotel.

- 10pm: Departure for night lodging (hotel or camping).

Monday, May 22nd: Circuit day at Thenay

The GTI Golf Club has rented the Loire Valley Circuit, situated in Thenay, for the whole day. In a private and secure environment, you will have the possibility of driving through a 2 km circuit, free speed, meaning without chronometer constraints. Fifteen minutes sessions with rotations of six cars per sessions will be set for the whole day, in order for you to enjoy yourself in all safety. Helmets and safety belts are compulsory while in cars-two people maximum per car_ minimum age required 18. The GTI vehicles must answer all driving norms concerning noise( sport or racing exhaust forbidden), be in perfect technical shape and be valuably insured.
Consummation of alcohol absolutely forbidden.

-8:30 am-9:30 am: Welcoming and registration of pilots at the Club House.

-9:30 am: Pilots? briefing.

-10 am-12 pm: Eight, fifteen minutes sessions.

-12pm-12:30pm: Procession of all cars on the circuit (50km/hr maximum).

-12:30pm- 2pm: Cold food buffet and non- alcohol drinks.

-2pm-6pm: Sixteen, fifteen minutes sessions.

-6pm: The end.

Accepted vehicles:
As for all the Club outings, vehicles accepted are exclusively GTI Golf, Series 1, answering the criteria established by the GGCC, vehicles in original state with vintage accessories. Contemporary tuning, even partial, will not be accepted. For security reasons and noise limits, competition cars will not be accepted.

Budget
The following table shows price per day and includes all meals, drinks, visits, circuit use and access to the circuit as presented in the program.
Lodging is not included in the program.

For children under 8 years old, a price reduction is available: 40 Euros for 3 days and 30 Euros for 2 days.

Attention: For security and organizational reasons, the number of participants will be limited. Priority will be given to people choosing the 3 day formula and in the order of first come first serve. Please reserve as soon as possible!
