CLASSIC CAR SHOW THIS WEEKEND - VISIT YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!

Just a reminder folks that the MK1 Golf Owners Club take pride of place at the Classic Car show this weekend (Fri-Sun) at the NEC Birmingham.

I'd like to thank in advance not just the few that are coming to help out on the stand but particularly Danny, Jeremy and Walt for taking the time and trouble to bring their cars down in the pouring rain today and lovingly polishing them for all to see - TOP JOB LADS! :y:

There's a huge array of cars on show and its well worth a visit - we've even found a 2 owner MK1 Gti (Black 8) ) with only 22,000 miles on the clock. The owner is from the Black Country Car Club and his mate was first owner. It had webasto roof AND vinyl roof covering from factory from new! 8O  The chap didn't know about our club - he does now!

Once again, thanks to all those involved this weekend and hope to see more of you up on the stand to say hello!

Cheers
Andy

Well today was a cracking day! We have all been totally gob-smacked by the number of MK1 Golf enthusiasts who either 'use to have one' to coin a well used phrase today or have them, are mad about them but simply didn't know we existed.

There was also a chap selling his Mums 1984 White CAB, 50-ish thousand miles, only owner, featured in 1980's Howards Way programme!! He's going to ad it in the forum so keep your eyes peeled if your looking for an original cab.

I also saw one of my MK1 Minis which I sold about 14 years ago on a stand!! 8O  Can't stress enough, if you are into classic cars it's well worth a visit. There was even a MK1 Golf Gti on another clubs stand with only 22k miles on it!

See you there!

Andy - Are you guys able to get any pics? I'll be bringing my camera tomorrow (Sun), andthought it might be an idea to try and get a write up done so those that couldn't make it can see what they missed
