Classic Car Show NEC Birmingham 9th-11th Nov - with pics

WANTED - CARS - MK1 GOLFS
Friday 9nd - Sunday 11th November we have a stand booked to represent the club at the Classic Car Show held at the NEC in Birmingham.

Now, before you volunteer your pride and joy to be on display, you must be able to comply with the following :-

Car to be at the NEC on Thursday 8th November pm to meet me and for your car to be displayed for friday, saturday and sunday.

Cars cannot be moved until sunday so you will have to leave it there, (there is full security)

For each car displayed the owner will recieve 2 tickets to the show for all 3 days.

For those unable to show or would like to go to the show, advance tickets are available now, with discounts for club members. ?8

This is a show for all of us. We need to get one car from each of the categories below so we get a good cross section of the cars from the club.

Any good ideas, suggestions please let us know and we can see what we can do.

We have room for 5 cars.
Please add your name to which car category you can help with, or nominate a car to be displayed that you love - maybe another members car?

1. Rat Look Golf - Richard, Crazyquiff
2. Standard early series 1 -
3. Cabriolet any year good example -
4. GTi campaign or early -
5. Modified clean example -

We would like to show different cars each year so if you have not shown before this is a great opportunity.

I will be there all 3 days as the main point of contact and to represent the club.

We need to have the cars selected in the next 4 weeks so we can then do specification sheets for all cars showing, and car registrations given to the NEC

We also want to create a pitcure board of as many members cars as possible. The idea being that one of the exhibition boards will be covered in photos of YOUR cars…. That way all the cars can be there - even if your car is not on the stand.

I think you should put your own silver hatchback, for the modified car. Since you're the events co-ordinator, may as well make the best of it! I have no objections to this….

So you can take your car up on the thursday and then just leave it till the sunday visit the show and bring it home..>? what time would it be finished on the sunday../? would mine suit.? its not 100% mint

any gti would do, but i was kinda trying to get the age range as well as models range, if you have a nice example post up a pic and we will select.

Nice   , yes the idea is you drop off you car thursday night and collect sunday evening, dont know what time, estimate 4 -5 pm.
Although you do get tickets for each day so you could visit he show at least one day

If your still looking for a Cabby you're welcome to mine - If you want any help on the stand I can definetly do Sat and Sun - Friday may need a bit of negotiation (depending on whether I get made redundant or not - I'll know in a week or so!)
