Camping Trips

Ok Dubboy set the thread rolling for Germany Trips. Here is the Camping thread…..post all your ideas here.

Ok we have had Camping in Devon and Cornwall suggested……

I'm up for either.

Sun, Sea, Sand, and well errrr Golfs! Get in!

Either really because the South West rules    
Someone mentioned run to the sun in Newquay as a trip, but it gets a bit manic then  North coast of Devon/Cornwall is best for anyone wanting surf :mrgreen:

Newquay is fab!  There is an awesome campsite just across from Porth beach.  Run2theSun would be awesome - gatecrash the aircooled lot!!!!  :twisted:

Camping for North Devon = surf at Saunton and Croyde.

Campsite…. Lobb Fields, Saunton takes single sexed groups and is a little out of the town/ village centre BUT the facilities are good and BBQ's are allowed.

The campsite in Croyde DOESNT allow for single sex groups nor BBQ's (the last time I went anyway).

This area is a lot closer to the motorway system, M5, as it only takes an hour to get to the site. Newquay is a lot further (more petrol, less beers/ wet suit hire funds).

Booking early to avoid disappointment is best as Lobb Fields gets booked up fast after Easter.

Devon is a lot closer, so it makes a lot more sence in that respect. However, the beaches and night-life in Newquay are far superior

I'm leaning towards Newquay and RTTS so I'm voting Cornwall. 8)

I would say cornwall for obvious reasons, But Newquay   it lacks style and RTTS is over subscribed and causes newquay to come to a standstill, might be due to the aircooled motors over heating!!!!

Seriously I spent all of my 20's dreading RTTS because I couldn't get to the beech for a surf :cry: and 2 many idiots with water pistols etc. etc

Go to Devon pick somewhere new and start a new meet with more all round appeal than the low level entertainment that is dished out in Newquay…can you tell i'm not a fan of RTTS and newquay :wink:
