camping at inters

just a quick question, i was planning on camping at inters but as the site is now closed i asked a few people i know and they mentioned stupid sums like 60pound for one nites camping? this cant be true can it? anyone planning on camping? if so, how much it cost?

I looked into this ages ago when I recieved a flyer at work, the flyer was very missleading and I think there are going to be alot of upset people turning up at the gates expecting camping when all they have bought is a weekend ticket.
The weekend pass only gets you into the ground for the weekend, it does not include camping. This was run by a seperate company and had seperate charges.
It was going to cost the wife, myself and my little girl ?100 to get in and to camp which I find an un-acceptable amount of money for what could be an absolute WET weekend (bearing in mind this is england we live in).
There are probably farmers close to the event that wouldn't charge alot for you to pitch in their field, but you wouldn't have running water and all the goodies that come with a proper camp site, which I would have needed having a small child.

 if so id rather drive there and back both days it will be cheaper on petrol rather than stay on there site!

compared to events like e38 it should be held at the hilton!

The price for camping was ?20 for thursday to sunday per person. Think it was cheaper for kids but not sure how much. If your staying a couple of nights it doesnt seam that bad. Booked it now so i hope its ok.

caming booked through gti inters is ?20 4 3 nights per adult, ?10 4 kids, under 3 years old r free. still taking bookings now by looks of things

If any of you guys are camping at the inters site i might be tempted to take the mk1 if not will catch a lift with my buddy in his mk2.

Not sure about doing 400 mile round trip in the mk1 as it has only done 70 mles in the last 5 years !!!
