Wheels touching new suspension!!?!
Hi all,
Just a quick one for you, I have just lowered my cabrio about 40-45mm on hottunings suspension, and now the tyre's catch the front suspension!!
I think the aftermarket wheels (TSW) are wrong offset, however what I really want to know is "what deep dish alloys can i fit with out catching"?
I know normal wheels for a cabrio should be;
Offset ET35-38
4x100 stud pattern
Im only looking for 15" rims, (and hopefully ATS Cups!)
Also another problem may be the tyres on the TSW's on the car at the mo are 195/50/15s……..Not really helping!
Cheers
Rich

Get a set of cheap 5mm spacers. No need for hubcentric ones if they are 10mm or less.

ok i know 10mm spacers should do...but what would be a garrentee fit that low?? (p.s hate the tsw alpines on there now, look too modern)!

someone should do a chart of wheel size, offset and lowering showing how its all related and what fits or not! Its been suggested before but never done properly.

Not my call any more….useless as a forum topic, it will get lost after a while. Stickys are rubbish too, needs to be an article and a lot of data gathering too etc

Key things…
What et do you have at the mo?
also what wheel width?
finally note, that the stock suspension the wheel will sit bellow the spring cup, but with coil overs it is possible to wind the seat of the spring seat down bellow the top of the tyre..
