What Would You Recomend...?

ok i have now had my Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet for 1 month … the time has come as the engine isnt in a good state … so minour upgrades are in order…

so ive allready ASked…What would u Recomend…?

Fix the original engine?

a supercharged V8 from an XJR?

Seriously it all depends whats wrong with it?????? top end? bottom end? smokes? rattles? uses loads of oil?

its a very hard question to answer, you need to get a mechanic to give you a run down on what is required for it to be in good nick and reliable, work out the costs and then go from there, sometimes its cheaper to rebuild, sometimes its better just to get another engine or a new rebuilt engine,

 some people use rebuild as a time to upgrade pistons, head etc for more power, thats what i would do if it were mine needing it.

thats what i thought.. but i didnt think you could have an odd number of valves per cylinder cool… i know my next mod  8)

cost you about 2k. ive shelled out 2k and ive got my engine, megasquirt ecu and loom, intercooler and pipework, dump valve, uprated clutch g/box rebuild………………… the list goes on and on!!
