what engines will go straight into a mk1.

basicly in the name like what engines from what other cars will go pretty much straight in with not much extra work etc.

define "straight in"?

Check out the Engine Conversions which is to the left, under the Technical title. Depends if you have a small or large block engine to start with ie a golf 1.1 to 1.3 or a 1.5 to 1.8litre

ahhh cool question i was thinking the same myself, nice engine less hastle hehe especially if you have the engineering stills of a man with no arms!!!!

it depends on what yoru staring with…

If its a 1.5 or higher then a 1.8 carb woudl retty much go straight in..

otherwise you'll be making little mods etc..

if its a 1.1 or 1.3 then the engine mounts will need relocating
