What engine?

I've got a mk1 clipper cabriolet 1800 but have been thinking about a new engine for it..maybe a mark 2 16v, but im not really sure, anybody got any ideas about the best engine to go for?

Personally i think the 2 ltr 16v is the best engine for a mk1 and im sure others think the turbo engines, but if cost and ease of fitting is put into the equation the 1.8 16v has a lot in its favour.

Yeah ABF would be a good upgrade.
