what coilovers?

looking at FK's but hear great things about the ?200 unbranded jobs off the bay and the Gmax (rumoured to be one in the same)

just wondered what your experience is?

fk's seem to have been seizing a lot lately.

i've had a few sets of ta-tecnix coilovers from philj on club polo, and tbh they're not for performance they're just a cheap easy way to improve the look of your car, and the ride is very fair.

i keep going back so, i guess all i'd say is that if you want perfomance get some koni's or avos. otherwise anything'll do tbh

ta for the input. guess i should have stated they are for an otherwisw unmodified clipper cab so huge performance not an issue, more ride i suppose.

other than siezing hows the ride on fk's ?

pretty certain my fk's have ceased, but some dont (mates mk3 vr has some on and he been lucky) i hear you can get them undone if u put them in diesel though, but the ride is pretty nice, firm but dont leave your nuts numb. My mate has some weitechs on his mk2 for the past 6 months or so and they seem pretty good, another has supersports on his mk1, not sure if ever ceased, but been on for ages and hard as nails.

I got my GMax kit from Venom Motorsport. They gave great service and the kit is just right, not too firm, not too low a good price and I love it.

Im thinking of one of those ?200 jobs on ebay sold by hot_tuning. Ive emailed a recent buyer of these through the feedback thingy and he says he perfectly happy with them.

I'm going to give 'em a go I think.

we got a set on the way, GMAX in the end, and polybushes from gsf, expexting a harder ride than usual buy the coils aint gonna be wound down that low as local roads and speed bumps are a b1tch lol

Most coilies will seize if they're not looked after…

its a ball ache but has to be done.
