WANNA GET MORE POWER OUT OF MY MK1 GOLF GTI????????

HI IVE GOT A MK1 GOLF GTI WHAT ITS GOING TO BE RUNNING GSZX1100 CARBS BY NEXT WEEK
BUT I DONT THINK THATS GONNA BE ENUFF POWER FOR ME ANY SUGESTIONS??????  :dontknow:

Not only do you want more power off bike carbs, but your keyboard is broken too!!! j/k

By all means try the bike carbs but don't throw away all the K-Jet stuff quite yet, you might find to gain more power you need to reinstall it with a few tweaks. Namely:

Audi or Golf 16V WUR
Audi 5 cyl throttle body, matched to manifold
1600 metering head
rolling road session (to make best of above)

Later on, and when budget allows:

hotter cam + vernier pulley + rolling road session


After then, you're looking at serious £££ or engine conversion, but the above will probably be good for 130-140bhp.

get it rebored to a 2.1

I'll assume that was a bit tongue in cheek! If its not, then firstly rebore won't take it out to 2.1litres, it will need a bore AND stroke to get to that capacity. And secondly, there's much more cost effective ways of reaching bigger displacement. For example its much cheaper to do an engine swap (in this case, from DX to 3A) to go from 1.8 to 2.0.
