THROTTLE BODIES

anyone got any experience with throttle bodies.
ie do you have to run them from a custom ecu

In a word, yes. You could do it on the cheap using the Magnetti Marelli 8P ECU from most Peugeot Citroen cars as it is very powerful and has an externally removable chip. Talk to Wayne at Chip Wizards in Rochdale. He charges ?400 to set it all up, but it's done on a rolling road and is right when he's finished. Compare that to an Emerald at ?400 for the ECU or a DTA at over ?800 before someone starts to set it up. Thje only downside to this is that you can't adjust anything yourself, but if that's outside your experience, then it's no loss.

yep ime using the pug ecu to run mine,2ltr 16v on jenvey t/b`s,cheapest option by far,ecu,loom and all the other little bits cost me no more than ?20 and wayne set it up

or mega squirt if your into DIY, can be done pretty cheap but you obviously have to be fairly competent at electronics.
