The Euro Look

Well, the euro look in my mind is a loose term as it can cover many things. but the look in my eye is just a case of cleaning the whole look of the car…
de fussing it so to speak. de badging, de locking that sort of thing. removing anything thats not doing anything to aid the look of the car.

Add a set of extra fat 13" or 14" rims with stretched tyres and lower it into the weeds… job done.

if only it was that easy in real life!

de badge, crystal clear head lights clear real lenses, slam it on its bottom, set of ats cups or ronal turbos de handle or audi style handles take the strips of the sides and smooth it complety and if you want to go the full monty i saw a golf with the bonnet smoothed to (air vents at the top and the swage lines done. but this will ncrease engine temp so get some descent fans in there! i reckon the euro look is sweeeeeet.
good luck and post some pics up if u go this route!

I would of course recommend RH cups… for no obvious reason…

For a mk1 going euro you can't beat 8" and 9" x 14" rims… period!

execpt for maybe 13"….  :banghead:

Sorry bout the pic quality .They are  8x13 modular 3 peice race wheels all round , fronts are et 23 and rears are et 13 fronts have 5mm spacers to clear the calipers , soon to be sorted with differnt calipers . check dubmeister for details . tyres are stretch 195/45/13 continental`s .

Be very carefull of offset. if the offest is to negative the car will handle like a scared cat . If your not botherd about the handling then consider your rear stub axle that is not designed to have et-1 leverage stress on it , and yes they can snap . I know a fella with et-1 8x13 ats classic`s on his caddy + 20mm spacers all round for caliper clearence , looks pretty mad but i was chating to one of his mates and he reckons that following him to no-rice you could see the rear beam bending on either side .

14`s are pretty good because they are available in alot more offsets making a good fitment easier .

Thanks for the info mate, very useful. I want some Revolution 4 spoke modular like yours. Well mint!! Not sure what size yet. I'd like 14" but maybe even 15" as I want some big'ish brakes. Still a while yet, but I?m getting one of those autocavan group buy pedal boxes so custom brakes are on the cards and need to plan wheel/brake combo. The revolution 15" 4 spoke modular are in the demon tweaks motorsport catalogue from ?193.33. Including tyres its going break the bank but wheels like that can make the car. Looking around that seams a very good price for those wheels, need to ring them to check though.
