The Euro Look
i'm close to purchasing a black mk1 gti (fingers crossed) and i'm really considering the euro look. i was just wondering if any of you, could give me a few tips on which way to go about things.
Thanks

de fussing it so to speak. de badging, de locking that sort of thing. removing anything thats not doing anything to aid the look of the car.
Add a set of extra fat 13" or 14" rims with stretched tyres and lower it into the weeds… job done.
if only it was that easy in real life!

Be very carefull of offset. if the offest is to negative the car will handle like a scared cat . If your not botherd about the handling then consider your rear stub axle that is not designed to have et-1 leverage stress on it , and yes they can snap . I know a fella with et-1 8x13 ats classic`s on his caddy + 20mm spacers all round for caliper clearence , looks pretty mad but i was chating to one of his mates and he reckons that following him to no-rice you could see the rear beam bending on either side .
14`s are pretty good because they are available in alot more offsets making a good fitment easier .

Thanks for the info mate, very useful. I want some Revolution 4 spoke modular like yours. Well mint!! Not sure what size yet. I'd like 14" but maybe even 15" as I want some big'ish brakes. Still a while yet, but I?m getting one of those autocavan group buy pedal boxes so custom brakes are on the cards and need to plan wheel/brake combo. The revolution 15" 4 spoke modular are in the demon tweaks motorsport catalogue from ?193.33. Including tyres its going break the bank but wheels like that can make the car. Looking around that seams a very good price for those wheels, need to ring them to check though.

'Euro' look covers pretty most mk1s anyway, what mk1s aren't euro! 8)
