Tailpipe style for custom stainless exhaust

Im having a custom made stainless steel exhaust done next week as a 1st year of ownership birthday present to my MK1 20vt  

or is it because the one that is on it is knackered  :dontknow:

anyways I can choose whatever tailpipe style and I was originally thinking to keep looking as standard as poss and therefore with the angle on it as per standard GTI style but with a rolled end, then I thought about having a jap style straight out/rolled end

what do you think (Dojodubber, Wooders etc if you are to contribute please stick to the subject    :wink:   )

Any pics of any you think look good?- it aint cheap so I wanna make right decision

I think you should keep it near to the original. Thin(ish) pipe pointed slightly down and left. It suits the style more and i think it would look great.
Personally i would avoid the jap style i dont think it has a place on mk1's but at the end of the day its what you like and prefer.

I do prefer the slight kink and the end.

I think superspring do one that come out at an angle but not with the kink, if that makes sense. Think this is what 'dubhit' has but I cant find the for sale thread anymore to link pictures?  :dontknow:

I know what you mean there was a dark blue MK1 years back that had a 20v non-turbo conversion on carbs and the exhaust came out the standard exit point on the rear and followed the same style on the tailpipe to standard but was slightly bigger in diameter but looked near enough standard - might have to dig through the old mags now  

my choice would be 2 1/2- 3 inch bore with rolled out at the end,

its a hard one tho especialy with all the different choice's available

Its going to be 2.5" all way - its the tailpipe style Im deliberating over but I think whatever I decide it will be rolled at the end
