supercharging
hi all i'm thinking about supercharging a 16v lump in my mk1 any ideas and im trying to do it on a budged i work in a large salvage yard so parts should available to me cheers :dontknow:

then you need a scirocco 16v inlet
custom fuel rail
brackets to put altenator on back of engine
audi S2 pistons
thats just a few things
working in a salvage yard i would do a 1.8T conversion

hi quickes and probilly cheapest way is
getting a 2.0 8v block with pistons and a 16v head this drops the compresstion to 8.5/1 perfect for supercharging
and using an eaton supercharger there cheep on ebay normailly around ?100 although you will have to make the brackets for it

Which 8v block and 16V head combination will gives a compression ratio of 8.5:1 as this would solve a lot of headaches with my new engine build.

have a word with miles at ballastic power, he did my conversion and was in process of building a g60 limited.
1983 mars red 1800GTi on ATS cups
G60'd, schrick cam, chipped, 70mm pulley, pace charge cooler, rolling road 182bhp 250Nm of torque, 14.50 quarter mile.
