It should come with two oversize bolts (approx 1 inch longer or so I think).
Jack up both sides of the car at the front so you can get underneath, undo the front wishbone bolts on both sides, slide the strut brace over the holes, and adjust the length to match the holes exactly (if it comes with a rose joint type things on each end).
Once you're happy, use the longer bolts to do it all up again. Think the required torque is around 100Nm, but definitely double check that in the Haynes manual.
It's a really easy job provided you have 2 axle stands, a torque wrench, and possibly a breaker bar depending on how tight the existing wishbone bolts are. Took me about 30 mins in total…

Can I ask a related question please? I'm thinking of fitting strut braces also.
What happens if the strut brace does not come with the rose joint type things to adjust the length? Are these a bit of a nightmare to fit if it is a non-adjustable brace? :starwars:
Thanks!

One end normally has an elongated hole to account for any small differences between the chassis tolerances of different cars. If this doesn't fit, your car is probably bent!

From this thread which shows comparisons of the Scirocco K-bar lower brace and aftermarket 4 point subframe. http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1376289
K-bar mounting points. Requires drilling the chassis for the two rear mounts (slotted for dimensional variations).
Photos of my Cabriolet's K-bar installation:
Subframe installation - uses control arm mounting points.

Thanks for all the advice with these. I'm going to fit over and under braces on the front suspension. I think fitting a rear brace will be too impractical as I will need be the boot space.
