Steering wheel hub

I have an aftermarket steering wheel ( 6 hole) I want to use on my 1991 golf gti cabriolet….my problem is the car is in another country from where I am living….I will be going to visit and would LOVE to install wheel with quick release hub.  

Can anyone advise i this year came with the large spline or small spline and also any help sourcing a steering wheel hub adapter…. THANKS in advance
