Seat Gearbox

Hi guys, I need some help. This is not a MK1 Golf question, but one you might know the answer to. Here goes, I have bought an Seat Cupra 2 litre GTI on a V reg, it needs a gearbox, can I use one from a Golf GTI, and if so, which one? Also, what are your thoughts on the uprated headlight loom, is it worthwhile getting one for my girl's MK1 Campaign,   Cheers Guys, IAIN

i think the gti one will fit but i dont think it would last very long. iv heard that a diesel  'box from a mk3 fits the engine but im not sure if it will fit to the car aswell.
