Running standard ecu 20vt question
Hi all I plan on fitting a 20vt engine in my golf Gti over the winter months and was wondering how I go about running standard management? My funds won't stretch to an aftermarket ecu yet,the mrs uncle is a v dub specialist so he's got the wiring job but I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for having the immob unlocked etc?
Cheers,Sean

I used a guy called Vagtronics and I posted the ECU to him on Monday morning and I got it back on Wednesday all working lovely
Pm me if you want his details and I'll dig them out
Rubjohnny on here as done write ups on the wiring details and he is very helpful
It's not as hard to do as it seems

All i will say on this is be careful when putting all the wiring back in the car make sure no bare wires or any wires have been put on the live when its a earth because if you spike the ecu it can get costly buying a new ecu then getting the immo removed again plus the time and effort, that was my biggest learn curve on this project and also make sure you check your ecu numbers on line that its the right ecu for the engine as i found out the guy sold me a v5 ecu not a 1.8t ecu and it caused a shed load of problems
P.s If you need a number for a guy who can remove the immo or do you a loom pm me
