quick question if i may

hi folks, quite new to the forum so im not sure if this is in the correct place but,  i have a question, i have just bought a mk golf cabriolet 1.6 1982, thing is, i want to buy some new wheels for it, (looking for some ats cups, what i want to know is what offset the golf is, just so that i can make sure i get the correct wheels, thanks alot

factory offset was et38. i would not advice going any lower than et33 if you want to keep balanced handling. i'm pretty sure that ats cups only come in et28(maybe et25) or less.

really? gutted, i really wanted a set of them, well to be honest, i want a set of deep dish rims and have only seen them, is there many out there for the mk1??

you can still fit ats cups to your golf, ET 28 will be fine, although not the vw itended spec, they should still be fine

u will have to roll arches if the car is lowerd at all trust me i have them and its a pain in the backside i need to get them sorted because im back to my p-slots because the smallest bump or pot hole the tryes scrub the arch! but they look awsome and its not that hard to get over!

some cups? what condition? if there any good il have them if you could sort em, obviously id pay for your troubles!
