Do you mean the top mount or the bottom ones? Front or back? If its top front, I did this which might help you:

It depends what tools you have to shift stubborn nuts. 6 sided (not 12 sided) socket and breaker bar should resolve the issue - either it will undo the nut, or if its sufficiently corroded, it will snap itself, clearly indicating it needs replacement!

An impact gun is handy for speed, but sometimes it can 'magically' undo a nut which is past it and beyond its useful life. So sometimes it undoes the nut conveniently, but it still needs replacing.

Grinder is always useful if the breaker bar won't snap the little fella.

I assume you have used releasing fluid for a while or over night?  Its one thing i couldn't do without on an old car.  And I don't really mean WD40 which is what i used to use for years (for everything) but its not a scratch on proper fluid

Fronts have always come off when I've done them, sometimes had to hammer on a smaller socket to compensate of rusty nuts/bolts.

Its about a 50/50 chance whether the rears come out. I always check that they are free (bolt turns OK)  before starting and if not order the two bolts from VW. 1/2 hr with a hacksaw gets them off  :banghead:

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.
