power rhor........

Mk 1 Golf gti Cab Power Rhor air intake pipe.
Ive just won a power rhor on e-bay for my golf cab. Thing is its not a great fit on my golf. The rubber on the intake manifold has to be bent right round to fit. So far round it so car from starting. Has any one else had problems with these. Please help….

is it a straight piece of 3" tube by chance?
