PD TDI into a mk1

Hi all,

I have missed my mk1 since selling it now i want something i can get reliability from and perfromance/ economy. Which is the best engine to use for the mk1 converting a TDI pd? Is there any garages that would do the work ?

There are a few topics in here if you use the search function.  Any pd conversion will be costly especially if you have to farm all the work out.  A aaz conversion would be alot cheeper  and are found in the mk3 platform, this conversion is also do-able at home depending on your skills and tools available to you.  What re-search have you done?
