yep i think thats it, so it doesnt look like a gti, no trim gives it away.
i only really see the golfs with 2different sizes, and mines getting a bit low for going over speed bumps all the time.

Know what you mean mate, i've just put my cl spoiler and put the GTi in teh garage, half of it ripped off a few weeks ago on a speed bump, VW mechanic finished the job reversing over tracking gear on Sat. bugger.

i like it, its plastic, but then again paid under ?8 for it, so what did i expect?
It looks good, but can see rust where old one used to be now.
It fits well, but im sure if i actually hit a bump with that now it would shatter everywhere and would have to get a new one, the holes for the bolts are only thin and would snap and not be able to use again.
Other than that it makes the car look wider and not so square which is good. could lower the car more as it doesnt hit now. Only the underneath of the car.
Next stage is small bumpers & eyebrow spoiler for me.
This is what it looked like b4 i lowered it slightly more, When/if i get smaller wheels with lower profile can lower her again.

yup , although not yet set up fully.
Personally thing the GTI splitter looks quality. Mines a daily driver and unfortunatly the wonderful people of Reading Council deemed it a clever idea to fill the town with speed bumps . Still, It did last a few months I guess, lol.
