OMP Exhaust?

My golf at the moment has a freeking huggge exhaust on at the moment and it's really too loud for me and I dont think it suits it!

That is a really good price, though with only one silencer, that isn't going to be too quiet anyway.

The ad says "98 +-2 Db" - I'm sure the standard limit for road use is the same which means any exhaust manufactured for road vehicles (Such as the one on your car) would fall within this limit. I doubt this would be any quieter than your current system.

If you want a proper sports exhaust though, check out the supersprint GrpA system. All the mags etc say this is the best exhaust to fit to a Mk1 as the fit is 100% spot on. You can also get this with or without a centre silencer - it is mild steel though, not stainless. Exhaust fit can be a nightmare with Mk1's, especially with big bore sytems having to clear the ARB and rear axle if lowered…

I'd say supersprint as well, if you get down to Halfords you'll find it at around ?207 for the race system or ?198 ish for the road one (the one I run)

I haven't found anyone to beat them yet, its not just chavvy matts and air fresheners they do!

Supersprint systems are not entirly mild steel. All their internals are stainless with a aluminum coated steel sheel on the silencers… :wink:

not too sure its what your after but just thought i'd post it up here  for anyone wanting a cheap set up.

I run a supersprint middle section and it sounds spot on (pretty loud though)… The fit is pretty much spot on too, as has been mentioned above…
