NOS on a 8v running K jet

has anyone run NOS on a 8v with K ket? as I think this could be the answer to my power quest…. as I want more power and will be fitting a big valve shed head soon this should cure my hunger for every day power but id still like a bit extra for days at the pod and on trackdays  :lol:  but dont want the hassle of a 16v engine or turbo conversion.

any tips or hints?

I will ask my mate about his he has nos fitted to his mk 2 8v k-jet, you will get stung on the insurance though, and you will need better cooling. It goes like stink when its not broken down :twisted:

insurance isnt really a problem, for me to have my bhp raised from 120 to 150 was a whopping ?67  :lol:  so if i go a little more with a 25bhp nos jet and the big valve head it should still be under ?100 extra.

the cooling isnt an issue on mine, it runs cool and even when thrashed on track for 20 mins it never gets above normal.

I think the guy you need is called BROOKSTER on here.  I think he did that ages ago and is now on his 4th NOS incarnation.

What other internal mods have to be made made when running NOS on a 8v k-jet?

if the engines done a few miles id have it apart and give it the once over and a freshen up, but provided you are sensable and dont go mad on the power hike nothing extra is needed really bar a good clutch / pressure plate
