No spark at plugs

I've fitted a Kr 16v into my mk1 and have wired it up using the mk2 engine loom, everything is plugged in the fusebox and engine afaik, when you try to start it primes the fuel pump, and tries to turn over but it doesn't spark at the plug. I am using the ecu and ignition amplifier that came with the engine, and i've already changed the dizzy for one that i know does work and have a spare ecu for it as well and tried using that also. So now i've no idea what else it could be, possibly the coil maybe? who knows, i don't, any help regarding this is appreciated, or if anyone local to me is able to come and have a look at it also, would be greatly appreciated as i'm at my wits end with this

Is the hall sender getting the correct voltage (can't remember what is should be though) and the wiring to it good? something like 5v I think

also is the ignition amplifier definately ok?

That's where I'd start anyway

are you using a 16v coil?

i am using a 16v coil, shall be getting ahold of another (working) coil and ecu, and ignition amplifier this week to try against them, and haven't measured the hall sender voltage yet, altho i don't think it's the distributor at fault because when you switch the ignition on it sparks ever so slightly and when it's switched off it does the same again.
