newbies 16v wiring probs

Hello to everyone just bought myself a 1800 16v mk 1 off ebay and have been having a few problems which i am hoping someone can help me with, one problem is that when cold the car will not idle at all and once it is warm it idles but is hunting up and down ive also noticed what i assume to be the the icv has not got any wires going to it, the wiring is a bit untidy anyway so if anyone has any diagrams i could have or any help on the above problems it would be appreciated, thanks Sam

HAve you defintly got the 16V spec ISV not the mk1 Air Aux Valve?

Off to work now so don;'t have time to find pictures but if no one does it today i'll pull up some more pictures tonight.

I'd say its prob worth heading over to CGTI forums and scouting around the engine section, esp the 16V sticky thread there.  plenty of threads about dodgy idling valvers on there.

hey manicgti, have you update the 16v zip folder now? if so can you send it to me again please!!!
