mk5 bootlid mechanism

hi all

i remember seeing a while back that there was a mk4 golf with a mk5 bootlid badge/mechanism
ive been thinking that this would be a nice addition to the mk1
if i was to swap, apart from obviously swapping the catches and mechanism, im assuming that there
is a electrical plug going into the catch, does anybody know how i could wire that up. im guessing
its going to be a similar operation to door poppers and their solenoid systems.

Do you mean the massive VW logo on the back?

Mods are subjective I know, so go for it if you 'really' want to but, I can't see it looking good at all.  Too big, too modern, wouldn't suit the mk1 at all.
