mk3 caliper adaptor brackets - anyone else sell em?

Im missing my mk1 soooooo much!!!!! im as skint as anything bit I want it back on the road now the wethers getting a little nicer(ish), the mk3 gti calipers have now been painted bright yellow (thanks to Mank GTI for them  :D ) and I have the pads too, I have fund a place in chesterfield that will do me grooved discs for ?70 so I will pick some up on monday unless I can get them at UD this weekend, so the only thing now stopping me getting back on the road is the lack of adaptor brackets    now Al off the caddy forum says he wont have anymore for a few weeks at least so does anyone else keep any in stock in the uk? (ive seen the ones from the canada/usa and i nearly died at the price!!!! so they are out!!!)

I just want my toy back on the road, I need a new small battery too, or to move it to the boot, as my finished cold airfeed is in the way but ill deal with that later.. ill find a way…

make sure u get a pic b4 u install them if u find them.  Had to do all sorts of trial fits.  btw we found the washers to be too thick and had to grind down the caliper brackets a mm or so to fit properly so disk wouldnt touch them.   :banghead:

Not the best kit in the world fitment wise, but were well made apart from the allen key bolts, used to attach the caliper bracket to the custom brackets, they are too soft in metal composition.

Yeah there were pics of some guy on here a while back with a broken off carrier bolt due to a cheap kit.

To cut the cost they supply the kit with the wrong spec bolt. On the head it should have 10.9 on it. its a highly stressed bolt so it needs to be a good grade. Alot of general bolts are 8.8 grade but suspension and braking area's use 10.9

You can buy them from a good supplier yourself if you still want the kit.

Just leave the bright shiney bolts they supply for holding on air filters and not your brakes mate!

The spec VW have on the bolts you take off will be what you want to match. Its tensile strenght rating that has a specific nead.

You don't need to up the value just match it.

Take a look here for some info.
