Mk3 2.0 8V into a 1300 driver, Advice Needed Please!

Hi Guys

I haven't been on here for some time, as I sold my Campaign about a year ago now, regretted it ever since, I've still got a Scirocco but it's not the same I had to get another MK 1. So I started looking for a project car set out to try and find a non sunroof GTI but I've ended up with a 1300 Driver, my first car!!

It's a good solid shell with no sunroof; I will get some photos up soon and start a project thread.

I want to change the engine but I'm really not sure which way to go with it, I was thinking 1.8T but I have a feeling I'll probably get half way through and run out of money or something.

I have just been offered a mk3 2.0L 8V, I would like to know what work is involved in dropping in the mk3 engine, injection system, box Etc. I know I'll have to move engine mounts etc. as it's a 1300, I can do that quite easily. Just wondered what other issues I may come up against or parts I may need to source, any advice information would be much appreciated.

Or any other engine conversion ideas!?! :-D
