MK1 R32
Does anyone know, or has anyone tried/done fitting an R32 engine and gearbox into a MK1 shell? Does it fit? Who will fit it? Any other info would be great. If so does anyone know of a MK1 rolling shell available in good/ready to spray condition?
Thanks all,
Aaron.

I think Dubshack had one they'd done for sale recently I'm sure I saw their ad in pvw, may worth giving them a call to find out what kind of work may be ahead of you.

Good luck with the project if you go ahead

If you're serious about it, then I imagine its possible but I think you'd need to mix & match parts from a regular VR6, for example the gearbox, since the R32 is 4wd. Or you might be able to adapt the R32s gearbox by blocking off the drive to the rear wheels.
Also, I believe the inlet manifold is substantially larger/longer than the VR6 one, you might have to extensively modify the slam panel too.
I checked out R32 engines, just engine/box seem to go for around ?1000-1500. So its not too unrealistic, for costs.
